Dick Harrington is CEO of The Thomson Corporation, a global electronic information company that sells the financial information systems that help power the New York Stock Exchange. On September 11, 2001, Dick was in London for a meeting of his Board of Directors. He was talking on the phone with his Connecticut headquarters when he got word of the attack on the World Trade Center. Harrington, along with the other members of his executive team in London, was thunderstruck.
