Sharing Videos
You can share videos in a number of ways, and one of the crowd favorites is to post the videos you like best to YouTube. You learned about YouTube in Chapter 2 (“How Do I Use the Apps and Features Included with the Motorola Xoom?”). If you created an account as suggested there, you can use that account to upload video. You can also link your YouTube account with other social networking sites so that anything you post to YouTube also posts to those sites.
If you shoot a video that you want to post to only one place, perhaps Facebook, that's generally an option; however, sending video to Facebook isn't built in to the video options in the Gallery (as it is when you select a photo). If you want to post video to Facebook, you need to obtain a personalized upload email address. You use that address to email your videos in to post them.
You can also share videos with the world. One way is to download and install the CNN iReport app and use it to post videos you take to CNN's iReport website. You can make any news you've seen with your own eyes (and recorded) available to anyone else who is interested in viewing it.
IF YOU KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO SHARE THE VIDEO ONLINE… If you take video specifically for the Internet, set the video quality to YouTube (High, 15m). This makes uploading faster and keeps the file size smaller.
