Getting free consists of fitting several pieces together so that you can build up the strength to release yourself from negative scripts or faulty beliefs. To assist you in identifying and eliminating these, there are three concepts that will help you find the freedom you desire. Together, they comprise the ZAP concept, which refers to your zone of Genius, alignment with others and your goals, and management of the paradoxes in your life and in business.
The ZAP concept is designed to help you get free by first understanding what your zone of Genius is—a term author Gay Hendricks coined in The Big Leap. Look for opportunities to work in your zone of Genius as much as you can, and if that means turning off iPhones or not looking at e-mail every 10 minutes so that you can concentrate on writing that report, then that's what you have to do. Changing your habits will help you get clear so that you can next get aligned with your goals.
