Chapter 42. Preparing for Print

InDesign provides two fantastic options that help get your documents ready for printing: preflighting and packaging. Preflighting is an inspection of your document and linked elements, including fonts and graphics, so you can see if anything is missing or incorrectly prepared for printing. Packaging is what QuarkXPress calls “Collect for Output”—it grabs everything you need to send your file off to print, from fonts to linked graphics.
