Chapter 21. Thin Clients: The Clients

When I think of thin clients, I also think in terms of degree. Degree of thinness, that is. The ideal situation in deploying Linux desktops is to save money by making use of existing hardware. Your PCs may be a bit old to run the latest and greatest operating system, or the hard disk inside may not have a great deal of space. No matter; they are likely perfect for thin clients. If you felt so inclined, you could even get rid of the hard drive inside those PCs.
