D.4. Basic 2D Profile

The Basic 2D scene graph profile is designed for very simple scenes that may handle only few (possibly only one) audio and visual elements. This profile includes basic 2D composition and audio and video node interfaces. The application area for the Basic 2D scene graph profile is related to audio-video-only scene description.

The only allowed BIFS node for audio objects is AudioSource. The allowed BIFS nodes for visual objects are ImageTexture and MovieTexture.

Level 1

Level 1 of the Basic 2D scene graph profile is used to describe one audio and/or one visual object only. The restrictions listed in Table D.7 apply for the Basic 2D scene graph profile at Level 1 [N4408].
