The original MPLS and VPN Architectures book was written at a time when MPLS VPN was still an emerging technology. In the meantime, the technology has matured to the stage where the majority of the forward-looking service providers use it to offer VPN services to their clients. With the deployment of this technology in large-scale production networks, the readers started to encounter the need for in-depth discussion of MPLS and MPLS VPN monitoring and troubleshooting. The book was, therefore, extended with two chapters covering MPLS troubleshooting and MPLS VPN-specific troubleshooting.
