7: Multitemporal SAR interferometry

Abstract

This chapter considers the extension of classical interferometry with a single pair SAR images, to the coherent processing of stack of SAR images acquired over multiple passes. Multitemporal and multibaseline interferometry is therefore discussed as a tool to achieve a monitoring and at the same time accurate localization of scatterers able to maintain the coherence over the observation time span (Peristent Scatterers). Multilook based multipass interferometric approaches are also considered.
