14Audiovisual presentations
In this sketch of a use case, we consider software such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote or newer systems such as Prezi for presentations of all kinds. Such software is coming increasingly under the spotlight of multimodality and related research (cf. Tufte 2006; Yates and Orlikowski 2007; Schnettler and Knoblauch 2007; Coy and Pias 2009; Bucher et al. 2010; Djonov and van Leeuwen 2011; Bucher and Niemann 2012; Djonov and van Leeuwen 2013; van Leeuwen et al. 2013; Zhao et al. 2014). Here, as with our other use case scenarios, we discuss briefly how to go about analysing these kinds of communicative situations with an explicitly multimodal orientation.
