COST 273 MODEL SUMMARY

C.1 COST 273 MODEL PARAMETERS

The model parameters fall under three categories: external, stochastic, and computed parameters. External parameters include fixed parameters, such as base station height, receiver location, and so forth. Stochastic parameters are used for random variables, for example, the mean and standard deviation of the cluster AoA. Computed parameters are those computed over the course of simulation. Both the external and stochastic parameters are defined in the COST 273 standard for each environment.

C.4 FUNCTION ATAN2

Often, when converting from Cartesian to polar coordinates, we need to be able to map coordinates in all four quadrants to polar coordinates in some repeatable fashion. The atan2 function is a simple extension to the atan function and often implemented in programming languages such as MATLAB (139).
