11.5. Task Concurrency Management
This approach addresses the dynamic and concurrent task scheduling problem on a multiprocessor platform for real-time embedded systems, in which energy consumption is a major concern. Here we propose a two-phase scheduling method, which is a part of our overall design methodology and can provide the required flexibility at a low run-time overhead. The global methodology is briefly introduced first, followed by the scheduling method. Then the scenario concept is explained. More information can be found in ref. 467 and especially ref. 460. Finally, we explain how a platform simulator is used to support and verify this methodology.
