I.1 WHAT IS MUSIC EDITING?

Music editing, simply stated, is the artistic and technical craft of working with music placed with and married to a motion picture medium. Essentially, music editing is manipulating and shaping music to fit the motion picture and delivering music tracks for a mix. Motion picture media include Hollywood feature films, independent lowbudget films, television shows, made-for-cable shows or films, and made-for-Internet or streaming shows and games.
