John awoke with a start. He had not slept well as the tense moments of the previous day’s debates had been cycling through his mind all night. The first thing he saw as his feet hit the floor was the handwritten MWBs list that he had stuck on the wall the previous evening. As he looked at the list he felt a growing fear that, in spite of the emotion involved in the process, the shortlist of MWBs would remain just that—a nice list. Nothing would happen; nothing would change.
