11. Reducing Noise and Sharpening
In this chapter, you learn to utilize Lightroom’s noise reduction and sharpening tools.
• Applying the Sharpen Wide Edges Preset

• Sharpening in Luminance Mode
Sharpening enables you to enhance edge contrast in your images, whereas noise reduction enables you to remove unwanted dot patterns that are apparent in your photos. The Detail panel contains sliders that help you perform both of these tasks.
