Chapter 9. The iPhone as Camera
Admittedly, first-generation iPhones were not very capable in terms of camera function. The resolution was very low, and if you could take passable photos at all, then it was only when sufficient light was available. Because there still was no flash function even in the iPhone 3GS, the photos often showed noise and color casts. This changed with the iPhone 4. The camera is now better and takes good photos. If it gets too dark, the integrated flash can help. The camera of iPhone 4S also brings a noticeable improvement.
