When you have one or two windows on the screen, it's easy to manipulate those windows. However, manipulating three or more windows on the screen can get cumbersome. To make managing multiple windows easy, your Macintosh comes with a program called Exposé.
Exposé manages windows in three different ways:
Hiding all windows out of sight
Displaying only windows of a single program
Displaying all windows as thumbnail images on the screen
If you open up too many windows, you may not be able to see your Desktop. To hide all windows, press the F11 key. Once you've hidden all windows, you can view them all by pressing the F11 key again.
