6.4. Non–SAP API-Aware Scripting Tools
As you probably noticed, the tools just covered in the previous sections are classic Level One tools in that they are somewhat “packaged”—by and large, they focus on testing specific back-end components or subsystems, and therefore represent what I also term discrete testing tools. The tools discussed in this section, however, are wide open—which is good news and bad news. The good news is that they are infinitely flexible. For example, tools like AutoIT can drive most any Windows-based user interface.
