Figure 9.6 shows the application after it has been run as it normally would at the end of the month. It takes about 30 seconds to process from start to finish, which is not bad.

What could have been done better? Well, for starters, the Data Display Control probably could have been made more generic and less application-dependent. For that matter, on a larger project, it might be worthwhile to create a MySQL-specific data display widget from scratch. One that would let the user edit cells “in place” would be ideal and could probably be implemented using a table ...
