This memorandum concerns the FCC rules governing payola, specifically sections 317 and 507 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended. The issuance of this memorandum does not mean we believe there have been infractions of the law; we simply wish to remind all personnel of their obligations under the law and under the policies adopted by this company.
