Other tools for network monitoring

Nagios is not the only tool for monitoring systems and networks. The most well-known "competitor," perhaps on an equal footing, is Big Brother (BB). Despite a number of differences, its Web interface serves the same purpose as that of Nagios: displaying to the administrator what is in the "green area" and what is not.
