Abstract

Nanoparticles have served an important role in the development of many fields, such as catalysis, biotechnology, and sensor development. This chapter introduces new basic knowledge about nanoparticle production techniques, describes top-down and bottom-up syntheses processes, and discusses the physicochemical aspects and stabilization processes of these techniques.
