“Good results without good planning is good luck, not good management.” That was the sage advice of Ben Waters, Vice President of Administration at Capitol Broadcasting Company in the mid-nineties. Ben was one of my mentors in the broadcast business and decades later his words remain true: a good plan must be informed by sound information.
