14.7. Recommended practice for feasibility studies

The development of an industrial investment project from the stage of the initial idea until the plant is in operation can be shown in the form of a cycle comprising three distinct phases: the preinvestment, the investment, and the operational phases. The objective of this recommended practice is to explore a sound and well-established procedure for carrying out the various studies required during the preinvestment phase in general and within the feasibility studies in particular.
