It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Sentiment analysis as text classification
A popular use of classifiers is in sentiment analysis. The end objective here is to determine the subjective value of a text document, which is essentially how positive or negative the content of a text document is. This is particularly handy for quickly understanding what the tone is of, say, the movie you are producing or the book you want to read.
