Newborn photographers should be well versed in the behavior and mechanics of newborns, and what their needs are. We aren’t pediatricians, of course, but we should understand and learn as much as we can about them. Why they cry, how to read their baby cues, and ways to soothe a newborn baby are some of the important areas we should study.
This chapter discusses not only baby cues and crying, but also explains a newborn’s circulatory system and why it’s important to maintain a thermo neutral environment at all times.
