CHAPTER 11
Sharing Power
“Sharing power between two parties can dilutethe commitment and effectiveness of both parties.”
Q11.1 | Is sharing power a good thing? |
A11.1 | No, not if what you mean by sharing power is two or more people being held equally accountable for a result, or accountable for separate parts of the result, and neither being accountable for the whole. Sharing power equally goes against human nature. Any time something defies human nature, it should be avoided. When two or more people must work together, one should be designated as the leader. The leader is the person who feels the greatest level of accountability and is considered the primary interface for the team. |
