The New Financial Reporting System: DANA KENT

You are Dana Kent and your department needs a financial reporting system designed as soon as possible. You need to have the capability to do a number of things:

• track foreign currency fluctuations and their impact on cash flow;

• generate financial reports;

• do financial forecasting.

If possible, you also want the ability to present data graphically; this would greatly enhance the system.

You have a meeting scheduled with Lee Stone of IT to discuss both your needs and the assignment of someone to handle the job for you. You chatted with Lee briefly this morning and outlined your basic needs, although you didn’t go into great detail.
