System.Windows.Forms

This is the root of most user interfaces (omitting only Web). You will likely be faced with putting together a user interface program after you have been programming for a while in a Windows environment. It has never been easier to generate a user interface.

Many details about a Windows user interface would make complete coverage here problematic. Instead, a sampler application has been put together that uses most of the controls available with Visual Studio .NET. Figure B.1 shows this program running. The complete source for this program is in the WindowsForm directory.
