When it comes to people, as well as detecting and tracking faces as we saw in Chapter 11, “Face Tracking and Expression Detection,” we can also use ARKit to detect bodies in a scene including the orientation of different parts of the body in real time. This is called body tracking, and it gives us the ability to not track the position of major body joints to a high degree of accuracy.
