Storage today has a number of areas where fundamental questions remain in dispute. Often, this is a struggle between the entrenched giants of the industry and a set of forces that threaten their growth or even their long-term survival. These debates tend to devolve into “Fear, uncertainty, and doubt” (FUD) exercises on the part of the defending incumbents, combatted by overhyped claims on the part of the upstarts.
