Network Services

One of the main reasons for networking to evolve was the ability to access resources and services not locally available on devices. In this chapter, we will look at these network services. We have already touched upon a number of network services in earlier chapters and we will go into more detail regarding them here, as well as introduce a number of other services not yet mentioned. The network services covered here do not involve an exhaustive list, and others do exist. In fact, we covered DNS, another common network service, in the previous chapter.
