One essential distinction must be made before proceeding. In the traditional process-driven perspective of the management era of entrepreneurship, success is determined by the entrepreneur’s capacity to navigate the business creation process (Shane & Venkataraman, 2000). Nonetheless in the context of a brain-driven approach, it is the entrepreneurs’ brain which is behind failure or venture success. Keeping this in mind, this section examines the disruptive forces of the brain era in five fundamental areas of entrepreneur-ship: research, teaching, policymaking, learning, and philosophy.
