REACTIVITY MEASUREMENTS IN ACCELERATOR DRIVEN SYSTEMS

The traditional methods of reactivity measurement with fluctuation analysis, discussed in the previous chapter, are all based on the use of a steady extraneous source with Poisson statistics. In the measurements a radioactive source is used, such as an Am–Be, Sb–Be or Pu–Be source with a constant intensity and simple Poisson statistics.
