Abstract

This chapter is aimed to study the vibration characteristics of a microbeam placed in a thermal environment, using the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory. The modified couple stress theory has been utilized to capture the size-dependent effect of the microbeam, and the governing equations of motion are deduced by adopting Hamilton’s principle.
