Abstract:

This chapter seeks to explain the stages that are necessary to turn an idea into a successful development. To further underline the importance of these stages and how people’s changing needs affect market forces, a brief summary discusses some of the changes in textile yarns over the last 20 years. The discussion then moves forward to show the effect of these changes on the development of ladies lingerie, considers how to plan for change and provides a small overview of possible future developments.
