Web as a platform offers new ways to build and integrate applications and includes newer options for deployment infrastructure and execution run time. The evolution of Web as a Platform is led by various technology adoption trends and developments over the past few years including Web 2.0, cloud computing, increasing proliferation of mobile computing devices and SaaS based delivery model.
