Opening Images in HDR Efex Pro

Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Photoshop, and Apple Aperture are host applications that support HDR Efex Pro by preparing images for HDR processing. These host programs are needed because HDR Efex Pro does not have its own RAW processing engine. Your choice of host application has a significant effect on your workflow because each program takes a slightly different approach to preparing the image files. Other programs that process RAW files, such as Adobe Photoshop Elements and Corel PaintShop Photo Pro, are not available as host applications because they do not support 32-bit processing.
