George Clooney had a plan.
“I have a question,” says Carl Reiner early on in the movie Ocean’s Eleven, after Clooney has laid out his scheme for breaking into the impressively secured vault of a Las Vegas casino.
“Say we get into the cage, and through the security doors there, and down the elevator we can’t move, and past the guards with the guns, and into the vault we can’t open . . . say we do all that. We’re just supposed to walk out of there with $150 million in cash on us, without getting stopped?”
There’s a silence. The members of Ocean’s handpicked team eye one another nervously, unsure what’s coming next.
