Chapter 14 Intelligence
When discussing the methods that we might use to gather information from individuals, there are a few routes that we can take. We can use human intelligence, often abbreviated as HUMINT. HUMINT involves the acquisition of information, usually in a noncovert manner, through personal contact with the source of the information. HUMINT includes a variety of interviewing and questioning techniques.
When we acquire human intelligence through clandestine means, commonly known as spying, this is referred to as clandestine HUMINT.
