We Are What We Repeatedly Do
NetApp is in the highly competitive technology industry. They have over 13,000 employees in over 150 offices around the world, and NetApp was named one of the best multinational workplaces in the world in 2012. One of the distinguishing characteristics of NetApp, reinforced throughout our interviews with managers, was the consistency with which they understand who and what their company is and is not. Like Aristotle's maxim about being what we repeatedly do, it seemed that regardless of their role or location, managers spoke in strikingly similar terms about the vision of the organization, the workplace culture, and their business model.
