My Industry Is Different
While all challenges to a great workplace feel entrenched on some level, none seem more immovable than those that come from social, political, demographic, and market forces. Globalization, the health of the economy, demographic trends, environmental shifts, and shifting rules and regulations seem to restrict a leader's options, even as they provide opportunity for growth. Thus, megatrends such as these heavily (though not always observably) influence organizations and their leaders.
