In the end, blogging is just writing. This chapter helps you think more like a writer and develop habits that will make you proud of your work.

81. Exit the comfort zone

Start saying yes. Tupperware party? Sounds like a swell time. Roller derby? Count me in. World jazz? Seriously? Uh, sure. The more you experience, the more you have to write about.

Seek out unusual opportunities and book them. Say yes to activities that ordinarily wouldn’t seem appealing. A dubious evening may be worth the legendary post that comes out of it.

And who knows, you may develop a lasting interest in world jazz.
