Chapter One Where to Begin?

Although this book focuses on the design of your presentation, the primary thing to remember is that your presentation is not merely the computer file—it’s you. You give the talk with your slides, and your computer file simply assists you in that task.

You can, of course, create a stand-alone presentation that you post on a website, and the principles in this book still apply, except that everything you might talk about would be on the slides or at least in the accompanying speaker notes.
