Chapter 25 Configuring a Spam/Junk Mail Control Solution
First let’s define spam. The Coalition Against Unsolicited Commercial Email (CAUCE) defines spam as unsolicited commercial email. In the CAUCE definition, spam includes commercial proposals for products or services, or as part of a money scam, and is overtly intended to trick recipients by making the email seem relevant to them.
This chapter introduces the elements of GroupWise that can assist in handling spam. There are also some recommendations about solutions for managing spam that do not come with GroupWise.
