While MDGs focused on univer-
sal primary education, SDGs aim for quality educa-
tion at all levels with improved indicators.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
SDGs are a set of 17 interconnected goals adopted by the
United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development. These goals are a universal call
to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that
all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. Each goal
has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.
