Physical Characteristics:
They settle at the bottom
of a container. They may be in the form of suspended
solids which are carried in liquid flows. Their tem-
perature is usually higher than the surroundings. The
odours may arise due to gas generation during bio-
degradation.
Chemical Characteristics:
Liquid waste contains
both organic and inorganic components.
Organic Matter:
