medicines, food, and cosmetics. The GR is linked with
BioTrade Initiative.
‘FairWild Standard’, linked with ABS and GR, this is a
certification scheme that ensures that wild-collected
GRs are harvested in a sustainable and ethical manner.

Traditional Knowledge (TK):
TK is the knowledge
that indigenous peoples and local communities have
accumulated over generations about the properties
and uses of GRs.
ABS tries to ensure that GRs and TK should share the
