Feminism

INTRODUCTION

Feminist thoughts are available in the political domain since the eighteenth-century, but as a political ideology, it received acceptance during the twentieth-century and is hence considered a part of contemporary political thought. The term ‘feminist’ was first used as a medical term to describe either the feminization of men or the masculinization of women. In the modern sense, the term feminism is invariably linked to the women’s movement and its attempt to advance the social role of women in human society.
