Constitutional & Statutory Bodies
INTRODUCTION
The constitutional bodies are established by the constitution itself and derive their authority from it. It also means any changes in the structure or function require a constitutional amendment. It includes important constitutional bodies like the election commission, finance commission, union public service commission, etc.
The statutory bodies are also known as non-constitutional bodies as they are established not by the constitution but by an act of parliament. It includes the national human rights commission, central information commission, etc.
