INTRODUCTION
In a multicultural society like India, Identity is the building block of Political mobilization, representation as well as communication. Indian society deeply rooted in the cultural aspect and cultural background determine their orientation towards politics. Identity politics is a political approach where the identity of people such as race, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, social background, social class etc. are used as a political tool. Political agendas and strategies are formed on the basis of these identities to capture power.
